Who can be an ECOSEP Member
E.CO.S.E.P welcomes Sports and Exercise Medical Doctors as full Members. Registration of a new full member is possible following a written application and by decision of the ECOSEP Membership Committee and the Chairman, and provided the following conditions are met:
Full ECOSEP members are:
- Accredited Consultant / Specialist Medical Doctors in Sports and Exercise Medicine in an EU Member State, UK, Australia or USA
- Medical Doctors Received Academic training , such as MSc or equivalent in Sports & Exercise Medicine, at a Medical university in an EU Member State, UK, Australia or USA
- Medical Doctors with an Academic title in Sports & Exercise Medicine from a Medical University in EU, UK, Australia or USA.
Full ECOSEP members in Good Standing:
- Can vote and be elected to the ECOSEP Board and as the Chair of ECOSEP committees
- Can be involved in the decision making issues of ECOSEP
- Can add the post-nominal letters “M.ECOSEP”
- Annual Full Membership fees of 200 €
Associate ECOSEP Members
E.C.O.S.E.P welcomes as Associated Members Medical Doctors, from other medical specialties working or teaching at the sport medical field, and other Health Professionals such as Physiotherapists who are working in the sports field.
ECOSEP welcomes Medical Students who wish to continue their medical careers in Sports and Exercise Medicine.
Applications will be assessed by the membership committee on a case by case basis and we may request further information to support the application.
Associate ECOSEP Members:
- Medical doctors from other medical specialties, working or teaching in the sport medical field, based in EU, UK, Australia and USA.
- Medical doctors specializing or working in the sports medicine field from the rest of the world
- Trainees in Sports & Exercise Medicine
- Junior Doctors with a proven interest in sports and exercise medicine
- Physiotherapists and other allied health professionals working or teaching in the sport medical field Can add the post-nominal letters “Ass. M.ECOSEP”
- Can participate at ECOSEP Committees as members
- Annual Associated Membership fees of 120 €
Students Membership: based upon presentation of the curriculum vitae Annual Students Membership fees of 80 €

- Full and Associated ECOSEP members in good standing will receive an ECOSEP diploma certifying their membership status
- Associated ECOSEP members can add the post-nominal letters “Ass. M.ECOSEP”
- Associated ECOSEP members Can participate at ECOSEP Committees
