17 Jan Dr Lewis Raiman

Since graduating from Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry in 2015 I undertook rotations as a junior doctor in the London deanery. From seeing the consequences of heart disease and stroke I developed an interest in preventative medicine and have worked as a member of numerous research teams with the aim of reducing the burden of these diseases.
My other passion is teaching medical students s. Whilst undertaking diploma in medical education and in my role as teaching junior fellow I saw the value in utilising new technologies and worked with colleagues investigating the use of innovative teaching methods.
Having played for the medical school’s football first XI and making an occasional appearance as a member of the ‘Old Boys XI’ I appreciate the enjoyment and importance of sport and exercise and believe that SEM has an important role to play in facing the futures health challenges.
