I am a Foundation doctor currently working in the east midlands (Leicester Northamptonshire, Rutland deanary).
I studied undergraduate medicine at University College London medical school and graduated in 2017.
During medical school I developed an interest in SEM especially sports psychology, and attitudes to physical activity. This was built on a background of being active and engaging in a variety of sports particularly basketball, which I have played for many years at county and national league level, culminating with 2 years tenure as president of UCL Men’s basketball team.
I was fortunate during my time at medical school to have an SSC placement at The Institute of Sport, Exercise and Health (ISEH),
and an Elective in Kingston Jamaica at the sports medicine department of the University of The West Indies MONA. Such experiences were both engaging and eye opening.
Looking forward, working with ECOSEP I hope to help foster links that harbour opportunities for students that encourage long lasting collaboration with the wider SEM community.
