I am a 3^rd year medical student at the University of Sheffield currently undertaking an intercalated BSc in Sport and Exercise medicine at Queen Mary’s University of London. SEM has always been a speciality of interest for me, particularly the prevention of disease through exercise. Recently, I spent a 6-week elective clinical attachment in an SEM clinic in Thessaloniki, through which I am now working on a research project on shock wave therapy as a treatment for ankle sprains. Outside of my studies, I am a keen sportsman playing at a national level and a strength and conditioning coach for the University of Sheffield Elite Sports Performance programme.
