Run by Professor Nicola Maffulli and MedEduCare/CUS (www.cusultrasound.co.uk)/AECC (www.aecc.ac.uk), this day provides a Morning theory update sessions (maximum 80 attendees) will be followed by an afternoon of small group practical sessions with patients (maximum 30 attendees in 10 groups of 3). Morning theory presenters are: Professor Waqar Bhatti (ConsultantRadiologist specialising in Musculoskeletal imaging with special clinical interests in muscle and joint disorders and Sports injuries), Dr James Brown (Sports and Exercise Medicine Consultant, lectures widely in Europe on the use of MSK ultrasound to aid diagnosis and guide minimally invasive procedures for tendon and shoulder pain), Dr Otto Chan (Consultant Radiologist with extensive experience of GI, thoracic radiology, Emergency radiology and MSK/Sports Medicine, including all aspects of MSK intervention) Dr Budgie Hussain (Director MSK Teaching Faculty, Centre for Ultrasound Studies, Bournemouth), Dr Nikos Malliaropoulos, (Consultant in Sport & Exercise Medicine and a Sports and Exercise Medicine Physician, Honorary Consultant Sports and Exercise Medicine Bart’s at the London, Honorary Senior Lecturer QMUL CSEM, whose main clinical interests are in the diagnosis, management and rehabilitation of sports injuries and musculoskeletal pathologies) and Dr Kal Parmar (Sports and Exercise Medicine Doctor, Medical Director, Leicester Tigers Rugby Union; Honorary Physician for the British Association for Performing Arts Medicine; Honorary Clinical Teacher, Institute of Sport, Exercise and Health). Afternoon Practical Tutors are: morning presenters plus Mr Warren Foster, Dr Phil Hume, Dr James Inglebarger, Dr Marion O’Reilly and Dr Tim Swan. FSEM CPD accreditation is being sought for this day.
