The next meeting of the Football Association Medical Society (SE) in Collaboration with ECOSEP will be held at The Clark Kennedy Lecture Theatre, QMUL Whitechapel Campus, Lower Ground Floor, 5 Walden Street, London E1 2EF on Monday, 28th November 2016 at 19:00 with the programme organised by Stuart Campbell (Tottenham Hotspur FC) with our Co-Chairmen, Dr Zafar Iqbal (Head of Sports Medicine Crystal Palace FC) and Dr Imtiaz Ahmad (Queens Park Rangers FC).

Professor Neil Reeves
Neil is a researcher in the field of musculoskeletal biomechanics. He has a special interest in muscle and tendon mechanical properties and their adaptability in response to altered loading conditions. He has been guest editor on numerous journals and has published a large body of research in the field of biomechanics and mechanical loading.
Mr Dylan Morrissey
Dylan has over 20 years experience of working in sports and exercise medicine. He is now a consultant physiotherapist and senior clinical lecturer in sports and musculoskeletal physiotherapy at Bart’s and the London NHS trust / BL School of Medicine and Dentistry, QMUL. He has authored more than 40 peer reviewed full papers. His main research interests are tendinopathy and the link between movement and pathology.
Dr Lorenzo Masci
Lorenzo works as a specialist consultant in various elite sporting environments. He is currently involved in Achilles and Patella tendon research and has published scientific papers with Professor Hakan Alfredson, who is an eminent world expert in tendinopathy. He is one of only a handful of doctors to use UTC (Ultrasound Tissue Characterisation) as part of the management of tendon disease and tendinopathy.
Dr Jonathan Rees
Jonathan has experience in particular in Professional Football, Rugby Union and Disability Sport. He was Medical Officer to the GB 2008 Paralympic Team in Beijing and worked at the 2012 London Olympic Games. He is a Consultant at Addenbrookes’ in Cambridge and Honorary Senior Lecturer at QMUL. He is a previous Consultant at Guy’s and St Thomas’ and Headley Court the Military Rehabilitation centre where he has been head of Lower Limbs, Upper Limbs and Spinal rehabilitation. Jonathan is an international expert on tendon disorders. His medical doctorate from UCL won the British Society of Sport and Exercise Medicine 2008 research prize. He regularly lectures nationally and internationally and has been interviewed by both BBC and ITN news.
